Winemaker Nick Glaetzer has transformed an old ice factory on the edge of Hobart’s CBD into Tasmania’s first urban winery and tasting room – the coolest tasting room in Australia in more ways than one! A fifth generation vigneron hailing from the Barossa Valley, Nick moved to Tasmania in 2005 with his wife, Sally, with a driving ambition to create the finest Pinot Noir outside of Burgundy. With Glaetzer-Dixon he has won the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy and Gourmet Traveller’s Young Winemaker of the Year award.
